Fortuna

Fortuna is hand carved marble and comes from Quatrel, Louis Lorillard’s Italian Villa style Estate, in Newport. She is the Goddess of Fortune carved in her beneficent aspect: holding a cornucopia overflowing with gold coins: bestowing wealth and good fortune. She was meant to be placed in a niche with only the front and sides visible (so her back side is not sculpted).
