These genuine Roving Canswere used in New England textile mills, from the 1890's to the mid 1990's. These cans were used to transport strands of fiber called "roving", as it went through the process of becoming yarn. Because of their age and function, each can may vary in color and may have some imperfection. Some cans may have a hand painted band, which indicated the color the "roving" was to be dyed. The topical posters have been hand decoupaged at Aardvark Antiques, Newport, Rhode Island. Please contact us for pricing and shipping quotes. The roving cans ship worldwide. Also ask about custom design roving cans.
